If I were not a professor, I would start my own media company. The possibilities are endless, and the costs are the lowest in years.

What I hope to get out of ASNE

I'm looking forward to sharing my ideas and hearing those of others. We can't repeat the '90s, where every newspaper created its own website in isolation. We've got to walk together into the future.

Opera. One of my entertainment highlights of 2011 was seeing Giacomo Puccini’s “The Girl of the Golden West” (“La Fanciulla del West”).
