Onion abandons two cities. Really.

We Americans love our fake news. But residents and visitors to San Francisco and Los Angeles looking for their streetside fix of the Onion will be disappointed.

The satirical newspaper announced in May it was pulling the print product from newsstands in the two cities, according to several sources. While circulation of the paper was healthy -- about 60,000 in San Francisco and 50,000 in LA -- CEO and President Steve Hanna described advertising revenue as "abysmal."

But not everyone is going to miss it.

Said one young Onion reader on editorsweblog.org of the newspaper's print edition, "I was pretty shocked they even had one."
