The ASNE Ethics and Values Committee met Nov. 15-17 in a forum hosted by the Reynolds Journalism Institute at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. The sessions explored:

  • Defining journalism ethics and values in the digital age.
  • Better understanding public attitudes about journalism ethics.
  • Developing new resources for examining ethical questions.
  • Working with educators to define, teach and train journalism ethics.

ASNE members David Offer, Frank Barrows, Sharon Rosenhause and Robyn Tomlin reported on the event. Their stories and the column by Martin Kaiser are linked to below.

Video recordings of some the sessions are available on the RJI Web site, which streamed the sessions live. You can also read through the blog and Twitter coverage on the ASNE Web site.
