Sharon Chan is national president of the Asian American Journalists Association and a technology reporter for The Seattle Times. She currently covers Microsoft for The Seattle Times, where she has worked since 1999. In her time in Seattle, Chan has covered personalities ranging from the mayor to Christina Aguilera, and worked to expose accounting tricks at an Internet firm and Medicare fraud at a university.

Her first job in journalism was at Orange Coast magazine in Newport Beach, Calif., where she served as managing editor. Chan has a bachelor's degree in literature from Pomona College.
