Our hotel, the Sheraton Palo Alto, at 625 El Camino Real, is a short walk from the Stanford University campus buildings where we'll be meeting. We have a terrific rate of only $169/night for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Minority Leadership Institute at ASNE-APME

Apply by Friday, Sept. 11, to attend the Minority Leadership Institute at ASNE-APME Oct. 15-16 at Stanford University. Participants will receive free leadership and management training on goal-setting, strategies, leadership style, driving diversity, and technology and innovation. ASNE will book and cover travel and two nights of lodging for every participant, and some meals during the training will be provided.

Apply by email to asne@asne.org with the subject line "ASNE Minority Leadership Institute application-ASNE-APME," and include the following: 
  • A resume
  • A 300-word essay describing the leadership role you play in your organization, including day-to-day managerial duties and why you would benefit from the institute
  • A nomination letter from your supervisor (You must be employed by a news or media organization to be considered.)
