In 2006, NCEW amended its bylaws to change the beginning and end dates of its leaders’ terms. Previously, they ran from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31; now they began on the first Monday after each year’s election (typically at the annual meeting) and end on the Sunday following the next year’s election, similar to what had been NBEA’s practice.
