Teri Hayt became executive director in March 2015. Previously, she was executive editor of GateHouse Media Ohio and managing editor of the Arizona Daily Star. During 35 years in the publishing industry, she has held staff management positions at Time-Life Books, Inc., Sports Illustrated, The San Diego Union, Newsday and The Orlando Sentinel.
Arnie Robbins is senior adviser to ASNE. He was executive director of ASNE from July 2012 to March 2015. A retired editor of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, he had been a longtime member of ASNE before joining the staff.
Le Anne Wiseman joined the staff in October 2012, bringing more than 15 years of program management experience to her position. Most recently, she worked with the National Freedom of Information Coalition.
Cindy Roe joined the staff in October 2012. She has a bachelor's degree in accounting and 30 years experience at small- to mid-sized companies. She has also worked for nonprofits, most recently as financial officer for the Reynolds Journalism Institute.
Sr. Information Specialist, Youth Journalism Initiative
Megan Schumacher joined the staff in December 2012. She has more than five years of experience designing, editing and writing at community newspapers in Missouri and Florida. She is a graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism.
Kevin Goldberg has served as legal counsel to ASNE since 1996. He works closely with the Freedom of Information Committee and writes frequently for the ASNE website and newsletter on free press and open government issues. He is also a regular contributor to CommLawBlog published by his firm, Fletcher Heald & Hildreth. ASNE members may contact Kevin for guidance or referral on issues affecting them locally.
