American Society of News Editors

The goal of this institute is to train mid-level news leaders with diverse backgrounds and help them develop core leadership and strategic skills.
The institute will provide leadership and management training for emerging leaders from organizations across all news platforms in the United States. They are tailored to address the most pressing issues for newsroom leaders and the basic skills needed to lead and drive change. Some of the topics on the program include coaching and feedback, leadership style, news values in digital platforms and social media environments, goal-setting and strategy, financial leadership, design-thinking and innovation.

Travel reimbursements of up to $500 per person are available after the institute. Travel may include airfare, baggage fees, hotel, mileage, transportation fees and/or parking.
